When you configure your Ohmigo Server or Ohmigo Mini, you need to specify which electricity price range you belong to. This is so that the unit knows which electricity price applies to you. You enter the formal name when you configure the device. Ex "SE3
Sweden is divided into four electricity price areas.
Electrical area 1 (SE1)
Or more formally "SE1". Sweden's areas are counted from north to south, so the first is the northernmost parts of the country. This includes Norrbotten County and certain parts of Västerbotten County.
Electrical area 2 (SE2)
A little further south, but still in the northern half, is what we call "SE2" in specialist language. SE2 consists of Jämtland County, Västernorrland County and parts of Dalarna County, Gävleborg County and Västerbotten County.
Electrical area 3 (SE3)
Electricity area 3 is the most densely populated of the country's four regions. Gotland county, Stockholm county, Södermanland county, Uppsala county, Värmland county, Västmanland county, Örebro county, Östergötland county and parts of Jönköping county, Halland county, Kalmar county, Västra Götaland county, Gävleborg county and Dalarna county. Here are the country's two largest cities and a number of others in the top 10 most populated cities.
Electrical area 4 (SE4)
Skåne County, Blekinge County, Kronoberg County, as well as parts of Kalmar County, Halland County, Jönköpig County and Västra Götaland County are called electrical area 4, or more formally SE4. A lot of people also live here, which affects the demand for electricity and thus the prices.
You who have Tibber as a supplier can choose Tibber in Ohmigo Server. You then need to create an account to get a key, one. so-called TOKEN at Tibber. You can easily do that here: https://developer.tibber.com/settings/access-token
See how to connect the Shelly Plug to your WiFi in the package insert from Shelly. Please note that you need to use a static IP address and enter it in the Ohmigo®.server settings in order for it to be able to control the outlet on the electricity price.
If the Ohmigo®.server does not connect to your Shelly after several attempts, it will appear red on the display and new attempts will be made every hour.
Entso-e is the European association for cooperation between transmission system operators for electricity within the EU.
The prices are in EUR, but are automatically converted to SEK. As different suppliers of electricity prices may use slightly different EUR-SEK exchange rates, the prices may differ slightly.
When Nordpool, Tibber, Greenly, Eon, Vattenfall and others show hourly electricity prices, they sometimes include VAT and various fees such as guarantees of origin sif the electricity producer sells to guarantee that the electricity comes from renewable sources and < em>Electricity certificate which is a statutory fee that goes to support renewable electricity production. In addition, there are any fees to the electricity supplier itself.
For the hourly price of electricity to be a favorable contract for you, you need to be able to influence when you use it. This means that you should use as little electricity as possible during the time of day when the electricity price is at its highest and instead try to consume as much as possible of your electricity use at night or in the middle of the day when the electricity price is normally lower. If you don't do this, an hourly price agreement can be more expensive than a regular variable electricity agreement.Of course, you cannot shift all your electricity consumption to an optimal time in terms of price, but here are some things you can consider to reduce your electricity costs:
Set so that more of your electric heating takes place when electricity is cheapest. If you can move half, you can reduce the energy cost by up to 20 percent.
If you have the opportunity, you can schedule, for example, the washing machine and dishwasher so that they run when the electricity is cheapest.
If you have a heat pump that you can control, you can save thousands.
Most electricity companies offer hourly electricity prices. After you have signed a variable hourly price agreement, your electricity network company has three months to adjust your electricity meter to hourly measurement if it is not already adapted for it. In some cases, you may also need to change the electricity meter, which is free of charge.
Everyone can save electricity, but it is not enough to just have a variable electricity price. A variable electricity price just means that you pay an average electricity price for all the hours of the month and then it doesn't matter if you run the washing machine at night.
In order for you to profit from moving electricity from expensive hours to cheaper hours, you must have an hourly price for your electricity. Consult your electricity supplier.
Yes, and there are many good ones that also show detailed information about both electricity prices, power output, the electricity bill, etc. Most often, they are tied to just one electricity supplier and in order for everyone in the family to be able to see the electricity price, everyone needs to have the same APP with login. The idea with Ohmigo®.server is that it should always be in front and very easy to glance at before turning on the dishwasher, the dryer or the electrical element in the storeroom.
For those of you who are BETA testers, Ohmigo®.server contacts our systems to collect a limited amount of anonymized information that helps us improve the stability, performance and user experience of Ohmigo®.server.
After the BETA test period ends, all devices will be updated with the latest version of software and then it is possible for you to turn off this feature.
You can return to the settings at any time and make changes by briefly turning off the power to the device and then clicking on the screen when it starts up. Then the device will once again start up its own WiFi network to which you connect your phone.
The network name looks like this: "Ohmigo.server<number>".
When the phone is connected to the network, the configuration page will automatically open. If not, open a web browser and type "http://192.168.4.1"
Your previous settings are saved, but for security reasons you need to enter your home network password again.
If your router has both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bandwidth and these share the same network name, the device may in some cases have difficulty connecting to the network.
Try renaming the networks so they have different network names. You do that in the router's settings. By default, you access the router's settings via http://192.168.0.1
Still having problems?
Try resetting the device to factory settings and redoing the configuration.
See the video below on how to get started with Ohmigo AI control of e.g. your boiler. The video is in swedish. Please contact us for further instructions.
NOTE! You need an Ohmigo Server and a Ohmigo Ohm on WiFi to make this.
